FAQ

Common questions

Do I need experience to volunteer?+

No — most shifts are guided by a team lead, and gloves, bags, and sorting bins are provided on site.

How is donated money used?+

Funds go toward river booms, storm-drain screens, sorting equipment, and transport to recycling partners — the physical infrastructure of the program.

Can my company sponsor a specific collection point?+

Yes — many of our community collection points are business-sponsored. Email contact.hydraatm@gmail.com and we'll walk you through options.

Is HydraATM active outside coastal cities?+

Our model works anywhere with a river system, since interception happens upstream long before the coast. Reach out if you'd like to start a chapter.
